Distract the public from the REAL human rights issues with contrived and meaningles debate about gay marriage.
The fact that this issue is being debated makes me think that this is all the proof we need that there is no meaningful debate taking place regarding the rights of laborers, ex-pats, women, the disabled, political activists, religious dissenters and so on.
