Thanks for your answer. I take it Dr. Jeff is from an English speaking country? That would already help big time. My last dentist, when I was in the Netherlands for a while came from Belgium, and he had a terrible Belgium country boy accent. I could hardly understand him, and I wasn't allowed to switch dentists. He didn't care about me being afraid either. Nightmare! But I guess you're right that it's a childhood trauma *sigh*
