Actually, I have had people kindly tell me my lights were on, thinking I was unaware of the fact.
Like Baldrick, I drive with my headlights on so I can be seen more easily (not to get people to move out of my way) and hopefully avoid the idiots who change lanes indiscriminately LOL
Why would it distract other drivers? It's not like I'm driving with my hazard lights flashing in fog which IS illegal in most countries (not sure about here) as the car is incapable of using the turn signals while the hazards are engaged?
People are intimidated (if one can call it that) because it has become common practice to use the headlights as a "threat" to others on the road here in the Gulf, not because it's illegal or distracting.
