The kind of make-up and perfume you sometimes see is surely not permissable in Islam. The gals with the hair half out wearing half the seasons stock of Sephora cosmetics isnt Islamic, it is fashion :)

On another note, just because some people are born Muslim doesnt mean they know what they are doing is not permissable in their faith, and it is their choice. I guess if you put religious implications aside they really arent hurting anyone.
