I don't like people too who do mysterious tricks and make you suspecious.

However, I don't see a problem in copying and pasting from a newspaper or the like because we get exposed to info which may be valuable to know. It might be better if the person supports or illustrates a certain argument to give a direction to discussion but not necessary.
