I've lived in Central London for 30 years, 6 years in outer London, 6 in North Yorkshire and none of these places felt like home, yet when i go on holiday to Dominican Republic, always when i get off the plane it feels as though I have come home. I had this same feeling when I visited Doha for two weeks at easter, as soon as I got off the plane it felt like home. Maybe something to do with the heat.
