DONT give anyone the "benefit of the doubt" and trust them with a 2 month old! You endangered a defenseless child by leaving them with untrustworthy care why? Because it was convenient for you. Sorry, but having a baby is NEVER convenient. The least you can do is do your homework and find someone good to take care of them! If there is ANY doubt at all, then make them leave. You were somewhat naive. At the first sign of a problem (you found out she had run away) she should have been told to leave. Sorry, but not much sympathy in this case.
