Ashwindoke - thank you for the nice words. That made me feel better, it's just that this post had really gotten to me.
You made a good point - "THe point I would like to make is... Genrally when you are in your own country you do not come to know the actual Image of your nation in World... As we see the world as the native Media shows us..." that is so true, and in a way, I did not see it that way. I read a lot of news on the internet, CNN, Reuters, AP, but I have never watched Al Jazeera English. So I really don't know how the US is coming across over here. I do know that the US is not on top right now. Unemployment is at it's highest in 20 years. Millions of people have lost their jobs, cars and homes. It is not a good time back home right now. That is one reason we are staying here, my husband has job security here and if we went home right now that might not be the case.
As for "Dubbya" (GWB) I don't know how he got into office. I voted for Gore myself, but the way the system is set up in the US needs overhauling. Gore won the popular vote (in other words the he won the American citizens vote), but Bush won the Electoral college vote, which meant that he got in. I believe that the average citizen's vote does not count, it is the delegates from the different states that decides an election, and fortunately this time around, they got it right! I think Bush did a lot of damage, but as a nation we could do nothing but watch as he "invaded" Iraq. He sent hundreds of thousands of fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters and so on into a war which no one in the US wanted to engage in. I agree that some of his speeches were laughable, but thank God we have Obama in office now to right the wrongs done and make peace in the world again.
