Having said that, I have to defend the hosting country as well, and certainly would not have introduced "locals" as he did.

Most Qataris, if not all those I’ve come across, are friendly, helping, very kind and approachable. Some may look horribly rigid and have attitude problem, but after you’ve established rapport, quickly you would see a beautiful person.
