Brit you missed the train i think, sure i go shopping for my necessities too, my grocery shopping lasts at the max 10 to 15 mins, that too may be coz i cant find what i want so i run around hunting, women walk in to do grocery shopping and they check the price, expiry dates/production dates, compare different brands, examine every fruit, check out other women's outfit while shopping, etc. so u cant compare how men shop to how women shop, they will try on every pair of shoe in the store just to settle on perhaps one pair or just walk out without buying anything or visit the next shoe shop.
But hey if can bear being dragged along to all the "women" shops then u should be proud of yourself mate :)
