Lakedistrict is lovely - and there are some good websites with lots of info
Dont just go to Windemere go to ambleside and up to grasmere and to conniston etc
the heart of the lakes
Just dont go in July and August
and why dont you stay on a farm???

oh and if you go get a good OS map
i think lonely planet do a good guide for the lakes
