I'll simply inform the staff at Houston that I wish to get off at Doha due to an emergency or something. I seriously doubt they'll try to charge me differently for lightening their plane load from Doha to Dubai.
The only issue would be the logistics of getting from the plane to the Doha terminal, but I figure that there will be plenty of people doing this.
