They won't be alone, they'll have each other. I've travelled with my animals, they get along fine. If you do decide to take them, I highly recommend you fly KLM.
They have a pet hotel in Schipol Airport where the cats will be looked at by a vet, their cage cleaned (if needed) and access to food water and a litter box. KLM ground staff are also very good with nervous "mothers" like ourselves by double checking that the animals are OK and on board.
At the information desk in Schipol they will even put you in touch with the pet hotel to ask how the babies are doing.
