I'm so sorry for your double loss. It does seem more painful when one is far from the emotional comforts of home. Be good to yourself, have a good cry, talk to a friend and then have some chocolate. When my dad died I was overseas also. I completely and consciously decided that I would not grieve at that time, I would put it off. It's been seven years and as a result of my "delaying tactics" I'm still grieving. It's OK to be sad in sad situations. Give yourself the time and permission to be both sad and self-indulgent for now.
