There are many good reasons for not flaunting one's wealth. No need to tell the world you're rich. What for? To gain other people's approval? Lol! No need for people who live for God's approval. Only the people closest to them will know or guess what they are financially worth. That's all that's important.

"Secretive" is not the word I would use - but rather, "private" and I think it's very prudent, to avoid them and loved ones being targeted, etc.
