IB is excellent... but I have taught both British and American systems and found the American to be thorough and actually v demanding if a little text book based. I prefer the British system as it's a little more flexible from what I can make out. I can only speak from my own experience in the institutions I have taught in.

Call me biased but I'd rather my kids be taught the British system. Although in the American school the holidays were much longer!!
