If you are being "what you are not" then you are still being who you are, a person who pretends to be someone in order to be loved. If you aren't okay with pretending to be someone then you need to change how you act, and act in the way you love to be. If you understand yourself and love yourself then others opinions dont matter and you can be happy with yourself regarless of what others think. There are many haters out there, a lot of them might hate you because deep down they see you as a "real" person, and not fake like them.
