Looking at the bad comments above, I think they are truly undeserving. As a resident of Ezdan too, I'm surprised to see someone missing the coffee shop who used to be there!!! (I'd rather pay QR40 for chicken rice than sandwiches, and now we have 2 coffee shops in Ezdan, 1 in end of Tower 3 & another in Tower 4)

The truth in SE Asia, is that the best food can be found in small family owned shops or in the streets. The focus is all on food & not on decor, etc.

This restaurant is one that serves original SE Asian Chinese food & doesn't adapt their cooking to Western/Middle-Eastern tastes!

I can only liken this situation to the ones in London, where you see the Chinese flocking to Chinese restaurants in Chinatown/Bayswater/Paddington & there's always only a handful of Westerners; and the general perception of Chinese food are the ones you call for Westernized takeaway by numbers & are often full of cornstarch & grease.

If you expect to see items like General Kung Po's chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken or Chop Suey (which FYI originated from the US to cater to American tastebuds & are not at all Chinese) or you thought the "Chinese" food you eat in City Centre is great, you'll be deeply disappointed.

On the other hand, if you want fresh seafood cooked SE Asian style, this is the best place in Qatar & I dare say in Bahrain, UAE & Oman region as well. Try the hamour (grouper, kerapu or "sek-pan" for you guys in SE Asia) in the fish tank, which is as fresh as you can get.

If your budget's smaller, you can just opt for 1 portion of Crab Meat Fried Rice (real crab meat which are scraped out from the shell & not those synthetic ones) & a portion of Tofu/Roast Chicken. This should be enough for 2 persons (or 3 small Asian persons).
