Hijaab is not at all an 'oppression', if this is Opression then tell me why the same person, when travelled to Europe, she converts her Abaya (full cover) into a long head cover / long scarf?
There is no compulsion in Islam, it is all a matter of choice, when you embrace Islam, enter in fully in every walk of life.
Alas, we the people, due to our own weaknesses, accept whatever is most convenient to us, ask for God's forgiveness whatever we can't perform or for our misdeeds.
