Kaled Ghanem, the position of a flight engineer is almost obsolete. Only the old DC-10 and 727 use the 3-person cockpit anymore. A flight engineer is/was a pilot-in-training, working up the system to become a first offer then captain. So is what you are asking is an airline pilot a good profession? Yes and no. There are very few opportunities in this part of the world to gain enough flight experience to get a job with a major airline. The training, if you don't go the military route, is VERY expensive and there are no guarantees of success. If you DO get hired as a pilot by a major carrier you will be set for life. If you mean you are interested in being an airline mechanic, well that's easier but you still have to find a good school and a company who will hire you. There's a lot of competition in the airline industry.
