Different direction??? Isn't it the same direction? That's why there's criticism as to its restrictive interpretation. Same thing for the CoE - up in arms over interpretations - not moving with the times, etc. etc.
Actually, I wanted to stick to my mono answer but...my good behaviour doesn't last past 20 secs.. so, I guess what will be will be... I said "no" earlier because gays are human beings too and God is inclusive, not exclusive. Hence, no to "saving humanity from gays".
Having said that, IMHO, homosexuality is not sinful and the gay is not condemned as long as he does not act on his homosexuality, committing homosexual acts, which are "against the order of creation". Fine line.
