2) I don't know if this is a prediction, but I do hope that the Vodafone entry lowers the cost for businesses to network their disconnected locations. The MPLS charges that QTel now has for VPN is obscene compared to any other country/company "who think they know what they are doing" (TM).
3) 2009 should mark the beginning of Solid State Disks (SSD) as a storage standard in laptops, and should increase reliability of data storage.
