Moderates can only ask muslims not to do these things for God's sake but cann't say that such practices do not follow from Islam for no one can be a muslim without defending the prophet and the religion. The judge is going according to the Islamic rulings. Let it be so.The one who performed the marriage should be questioned first...There should be a state law in Islamic countries prohibiting such marriages even though the same is valid through religion. This should be ok looking at many other state laws violate islamic rulings only to accomodate non muslims' rights.
