I suggest you check out the QL Social Group and the Boss, DaRuDe to join. There are rules and (shall I say) filters, to ensure that only people who are genuinely interested in making friends are allowed. There are really very nice people here... and protective too.
There are quite a number of perverts lurking this forum - who don't post but send private messages to those they perceive as either lonely hearts or easy targets. (While it's mostly guys PM-ing the girls, it can work the other way around as well - esp since you announced that you're a CB and from London, no less. Do be cautious. Not paranoid, but cautious.)
Anyway, to continue ... some even post in the open forums but all they ask for is "friendsheep" but we never see them posting anything else of much substance. Granted that maybe their language skills are not very good or afraid others will criticize them and they are shy to make mistakes in public, but hey.. they can still try. (And they are under the cover of anonymity so who's to know if they make mistakes??)
But the point is - lurkers and one track minded posters raise suspicions about the iffiness of their intentions. NB: I'm not inferring that you fall within this group we prefer to avoid, as you just started posting openly and are, most probably, unaware of the above. Probably also too busy to be doing much research for personal matters, like I was and am.
So good luck and if Wolfie thinks you're ok, you'll meet the gang.
