Anyone who believes in One God is a Deist.
it's a belief based on reasoning, so everyone will have different understanding but everything is based on the reasoning and wisdom given by the Supreme Being, our Nature God i belive in one true GOD, who is only one.
and i follow reasoning.
so i am a diest , cheers brother coelacanth.
I believe in One God, the Father, the Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen
is it hard to belive your TRUE GOD WHO IS ONE AND ONLY, can send messengers and revealtions???
ok u said those points are just a reference, let me say those 5 points are not a crieteria to scale a religion true or not. because that 5 points are not issued as divine scale and they are altimately man made, a human brain reasoning, so it might have errors, misconceptions, and mistakes. its baseless to measure a noble faith(assume)with 5 points written by a diest. do you belive that diest is an angel or messenger?, ever he claimed it? so we can just avoid it!
but for your sake only, i am trying to analyze it(5 things), and hope i use almost my brain logic reasoning here, not blind accepting, so please be diplomatic in replaying, as 'nice too nice' asked yet you too believing blindly about GOD, now you will say about Bing bang, and i can qoute it about Qur'an, then u will say 'interpretation', going non stop discussion, but still u did'nt accept my challenge to refer more than 3 translations about the verses i have given, and i can give some more about it.
brother coelacanth, this is a humble try(not copy pasted), but i typed in word yesterday after reading your last post,(may timtan say copy pasted, hehe), and assume its a running race, i am running with reasoning islam, and you are running with reasoning "______", u can fill this blank with the same word "reasoning" or simply "diesm", and diesm is not at all a religion, so u cannot fill the dash with that word!
“deism is not a religion...it's a belief based on reasoning, so everyone will have different understanding but everything is based on the reasoning and wisdom given by the Supreme Being, our Nature God.”
Hitler used his ‘reasoning’ that jews were not worthy of living and slaughtered them.
Darwin and co. used their ‘reasoning’ to justify slavery (i.e. that black men were animals)
my reasoning:-It’s hard to believe this Supreme being would create all this and let us walk on earth without guidance! Would you send your children to school without telling them what needs to be done? Why not allow their ‘reasoning’ to figure out that they are at school to obey the teachers and study?!
“Deism doesn't have followers...Imagine the same religions being interpreted in thousands of ways, and yet everyone claimed that their interpretation is correct. That makes division among each and everyone of you. Is the book that everyone is trying to interpret supposed to be that way? What made you so sure that your interpretation of the book is the correct one?”
One word answer is: PROOF
God didn’t just reveal the Qur’aan, he sent Messengers with the revelation. Thus, we follow the Qur’aan as taught by the Messenger of God and not by some unknown individual. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was described as the walking Qur’aan and there is wisdom in God teaching us the correct way using an example.
Without assuming there is an actual 'true' religion, it's safe to argue that all false religions will exhibit one or more of these five manifestations
According to…who?
1. The requirement to proselytize
Any God who is too powerless to reach his or her creation directly must not be a true God worthy of being followed. Humans are the worst vehicles for broadcasting knowledge when you consider two people who see the same exact event will tell two different stories about it, not to mention when they're asked to tell second and third-hand stories told them by others. False religions are easily exposed when they send out their members to make more followers for their impotent deity
Perhaps he may feel humans are worst vehicles, maybe from his personal experience, but we believe, as you said, God has given us a mind, a way to reason and wisdom. We do not accept information from anyone, we verify it and this is done in a lengthy process.
Each chain of narration contains an individual (or individuals) who has been checked using criteria such as memory strength, piety, personal behavior, etc.
We have children as young as ten who have memorized the Qur’aan by heart, so its safe to say, memory is not an issue.
As for why did God use man as messengers, simple, it makes no sense to send an angel to teach humans the best way to live as they are in no way the same as us. Thus the example of a good role model is used and even today, people tend to follow their own role models.
Islaam doesn’t go around converting people. All we do is spread the truth, we allow the human being to use his reasoning and wisdom to figure what is right and what isn’t. If he is smart, and chooses the right way (i.e. Islaam), we welcome him with open arms, otherwise they are still our brothers in humanity and we live with them in peace.
2. The requirement to pay a tithe
Any God who cannot afford to support his or her believers in their chosen doctrines must not be a true God worthy of being followed. If God created everything, then God certainly doesn't need his followers to pay his way. Why would God ask us on a date and then make us pick up the tab? False religions can be deftly divined when they start asking you for money.
True Muslims never asking for money. In fact, we have so many charity organizations. And the reality is, Muslims, especially in the middle east, are extremely wealthy. Islaam is in no need for money, as to us, this world is temporary and not worth even a wing of a mosquito!
If you read the scripture, you will see that In fact paradise is full of poor people! So wealth isn’t an issue, but a test, according to us.
3. Being founded by a human prophet
Any God who relies on fallible human beings to speak on his or her behalf is not worthy of being followed. Using a human only leads to different interpretations and understandings, which is why there are no major religions that have not splintered into contradicting congregations. False religions can be quickly culled from the pack when you find out they were created by a human prophet.
I have explained above why we need a human prophet. Plus, the interpretation he gave was that taught to him by God, thus protecting the integrity of the Message.
Islaam has no sects. We have one religion based on the Teaching of the Prophet Muhammad and what was Revealed by God.
Any sects you may see have clearly strayed from this. They either take up new prophets or change the interpretation of text based on their whims and desires.
However, like I said, we have the correct understanding handed down by the scholars and we stick to that understanding.
4. Fear-based decisions
Any God who uses the threat of violence against humans if they don't follow his or her word is not worthy of being followed. The threat of violence removes free choice and creates an inability to know if a follower really loves the God or merely feigns love out of fear of the afterlife. False religions can be immediately identified when they threaten you with eternal torture for ignoring their message
This comment almost sounds like a criminal complaining about the law because he knows he will be punished for breaking it!
I’ll give you an example. Does a parent not tell a child to obey him and not play with fire or they will get burnt? This is the same as what Islaam teaches. God says to worship Him alone and you will be blessed with eternal peace in Paradise. However, if you disobey and cause mischief on earth, your adobe is the fire.
5. Reward-based incentives
Any God who must bribe people to follow him or her is not worthy of being followed. What kind of God needs to rely on the selfish motivations of humans to get them as his or her followers? What kind of God needs to use payoffs to get people to show their adoration? False religions can be overtly outed when they try to entice you to follow their beliefs with promises of rewards and prizes.
Everyday, I am sure this person goes to work and gets paid. Why doesn’t he work for free? Is his manager bribing him to work? No, he will argue that my manager is rewarding me for my work. Likewise, God is not gaining or losing anything. But God is Just and Merciful. If you are good, he will reward you, if you are bad, he will punish you. Where is the bribe there?
Humans are selfish, if this deist has figured that out, then perhaps he should go and see what is happening in the real world!
“In summary, if your religion or faith-based system of beliefs exhibits one or more of these characteristics, you can be sure it is man-made dogma and most certainly is a false religion.”
Thank you for proving (again) that Islaam is the True Religion of God.
Perhaps he should test his ‘deist’ dogma with these points!
