well, some guys here say that terrorists have no religion. I think the same is not true. Some terrorists do have religion and they are muslims. The driving force behind their actions is indeed the misunderstood islamic teachings. Muslims do shout that non muslims misinterpret Islam but the fact is that it is muslims in large that misinterpret Islam and succumb to such destruction in the name of religion. If we analyze the reason for this misunderstanding of the religion by muslims, we can see that muslim children are taught relgion at very tender age where they have no reasoning ability and understanding of the philosophy of life. They are taught things like this life has no value but the real life begins after death which is eternal. They are threatened against the HELL for disbelief and lured to the pleasures of PRADISE for perfect faith.And that the sure path to the success in hereafter is to die in the path of God (Jehad). These teachings indirectly promote extremist thinking among kids.
Islam makes obligatory only the religious knowledge required to know the ways of worship like prayers, fasting, charity and the things prohibited, legal etc. on all muslims. The rest of the religious knowledge is for the scholars to resolve conflicts. But in reality all muslims try to give complete knowledge(including memorizing of Quran) to their kids in quest of eternal success.
The first thing Islam asks its believer once he announces his faith is to pray if its prayer time else to go and fetch his food.
Hence the first knowledge required is to know God and His worship and the rest is to make a living.
Its upto muslims now to save their kids from becoming terrorists or their victims and make them work concious to progress with others.....
