I think it is called "The Golden Grill". Drive down Al Sadd St from C Ring and it is on the right at the end of the block after Royal Plaza. Google reference is

It is clean, quick freindly service and not expensive, but most of all it is not up itself, and I would sooner have lunch there anytime. I had dinner a few weeks ago at La Cigale (ten times the price)and the place was full of the most pretentious people I have seen since being dragged to the Henley Regatta some few years ago. The staff looked down their nose at you and after parting with a wad of cach, there were six of us we made the mistake of going to the skybar. It was about eight pm mid week and there were more staff than customers ie us. When we sat down we were told we could sit in those seats until nine thirty. There were no reservation notes on the tables. But the worst thing was the staff were so wrapped up in talking to each other and constantly taking flash photos of each other they completely ignored us. So after one round of six drinks we left. The dinner and the one round of drink bill was about QAR2K. I should add that we were all well dressed and quite obviously business people. So La Cigale will not be getting our business again but the good old fish and chip shop will.
