I cannot agree with you on it... consciouseffort stated that only manager and herself started the office. So at that time probably the scope of work was not clear, the budget was not defined and so on… then they started hiring new people, it means that they are getting busier, the office is growing and budget allows to spend more funds on salaries. I think in this case, consciouseffort should be given priority, and management should have brought her salary into correspondence with her status and with the cost of living which has been surely increased since she started working. But what they do is they hire new people with the higher salaries, leaving the old ones with the same salary. I noticed, it is very common practice in Qatar. That’s what exactly happening at my office as well. And I think it’s totally wrong. Also I know that instead of promoting the existing employees, company prefers to hire new people. That I cannot understand at all! I know one girl who was working for the same company for over 4 years, showed excellent results, very well respected at her office, completely dedicated to her job.. When the next level within the same department became available, she applied for this position, and .. been refused. Her educational level and experience allowed her to apply for this position… she knows the job in and out… Why did they hire a new person? ...So she left the company…. Management even asked her to stay… at the same position…insane…
