Does spitting cause lung cancer, stroke, heart disease? The spitting you are refering to is outside, not in a restaurant or cafe where I am trying to eat with my family. If someone spit on the floor right in front of you I am sure you would say something about it right?

Unless someone spits directly in you or your childrens mouth, or directly on an open wound I think you are pretty safe.
