//But seriously, it's generally true that guys mature later. (Note, I said "generally" not specifically). A number of guys I used to work with (at work and (some in my former MBA teams) were older than I was but they throw tantrums, sulk, etc.when they don't get their way / cannot control the situation, thinking that as a woman, I'd feel sorry for them and give in. I'm NOT their mother!
(or more accurately, they could not control me, as I don't follow their instructions blindly (they were my subordinates (work) and equal teamsters (studies)- this aspect is probably cultural eg. women are supposed to be submissive and bow down to their every wish - because their mothers taught them that they are kings and are to be treated as such. Unfortunately, they met me. Results: I got my work done and got good grades while they were on skid row).
These older guys also definitely could not multi-task - more than 1 or 2 things at a time and everything just goes over their heads. And they were very egocentric too - to me that's a sign of immaturity, thinking that the whole world revolves around them. They kept failing in their work / business dealings and kept whining about how the world was so unfair to them, etc. They never look in the mirror at themselves - despite having their eyes opened by lectures and readings, etc. They never accept responsibility for their own actions. It's never their fault - it's other people and circumstances, etc. Never them.
