There is a story about a Nawab (King of a North Indian State, UP,Lucknow) When British attacked his palace everybody ran away except this Nawab. Amused Brits asked the reason.. Nawab replied..all servants ran away and nobody is here to wear me my chappals..(shoes). Locals are almost like this Nawab..
