Colecanth,
I am not bothered about the agreement or disagreement because I don't want to judge people on internet..
Ok As for the mistake you quoted, well, I won't call it a mistake or wrong if my kid steels some other boy's pencil, that should be an evil. Only God( I mean something said in God's name) can enforce this on the kid. Otherwise he may find nothing wrong in hitting a weeker kid, cheating, stealing, etc,.
Just try raising the kid without God's fear and see....

"Do unto others what you want others do unto you"

This is a general statement which needs eloboration in terms of what is sought and what is not of a good human being. Suppose if a rational kid says I want to hit this weaker kid and let him hit me, would you agree on this.
Anyways, deism itself fails if you want to be a 100% rational..
Why did the God of Deism( a true God ) create the prophets who, as you percieve, only promoted hatred and non sense among their followers?

The solution only lies in respecting each other's beliefs and treating all human beings as equal...

Thanks
