But you seem to have a misconception that those who follow religion reject reason. no. Belief in God without religion is like a PC without operating system. Not all have the sense to seperate good from evil. If someone with impeccable character (prophets) takes up the responsibility and says yes you follow this and you will be saved then what is wrong in following him. After all its in human nature to follow the leaders.
This is my 2 cents on the topic..
