Can not help you with baby shower, can not quite see the need for one. A tub is great, but I think a sponge can replace the shower. The important thing here is that the baby can feel the water on the body, and it gets the more if you use a sponge.
I´ve never used a babyshower, used a sponge, and my kids have loved it, still do.
