With or without depends on the looks and nature of each ones face. The nose to upper lip gap is the thingy which effects..

If the gap is bigger , beter have a mushh.. if its narrow and got thinner lip .. a clean one looks better I guess.

Remember Monkeys has big gap from their nose to lip and doesnt have a mushh LOL
