But I think I see your point Brit - the problem occurs when people don't understand the joke. The perfect example being the cartoon of Obama dressed as an Islamic extremist on the front of whichever US magazine it was.
But I agreed that a monkey portrayal would probably not go down too well, regardless of the intent behind it.
