Finding the similarities in anything is the basis of understanding between 2 groups. A person can argue that the truth is whatever someone perceives to be true. My truth may not be your truth, or Gypsys truth but that doesnt make is any less real to the person.
Vital error of many is to try and impose their truths on others. I am sure a Hindu doesnt think your truth is accurate. This is what divides.
Perhaps if you look for the similarities and others do the same we would all be a bit more tolerable of each others faiths?
