Even if I don't know what i'll do this holidays with my maid, I don't think I'll "lend" to somebody I don't know.
The compound where I live is not too big but with two bad experiences with other nannys this one I just found (las thursday) seems to be perfect until now, so I prefer noboby spoils her and she becames as the regular-easy to found-Philipino nanny in Doha: fashion-material girl, not very respectful, demanding and not happy with anything than getting more salary and only caring about that (without counting with becaming cellphone and TV maniac).
I will only lend her to somebody with the same thinking as me about what it's correct or not for us to give to a maid and while waiting that, better leave her home alone with enought food to cook until I came back as my neighbour did with hers.
I'm not scary that she'll runaway as I'm of somebody spoiling her, how? for example: she only demanded no Fridays off because she doesn't know anybody here, she says she prefers to stay at home and go out with us to help with the kids, unbelievable huh?.
