Ok, I've hijacked this thread to within an inch of its life so I guess I owe it to QatarHappening to have a crack at answering her queries.
As I said before, this is the first year I'll have actually spent Christmas day in Doha, but it isn't the first I've spent abroad.
As we're having Christmas lunch at a hotel I'm guessing the day will feel pretty similar to any Friday when we go for brunch, but with a few presents thrown in if I'm lucky.
The one tradition that I, and I expect most expats will indulge in is Skyping all their friends and family back home. I'm sure I'll be sat in front of the laptop for a good few hours on Christmas afternoon!
