Technically you're only allowed to bring liquid through in 100ml bottles, in a clear plastic bag. Medicines and baby supplies can be brought though but are supposed to be tested.

But in reality, you can often get away with carrying full bottles of water. Just last week I passed through Dubai airport security with a full bottle, which they should have confiscated.
