When I was in school stumbled across this ancient city of Petra in a Tintin comic book, The Red Sea Shark- Herge, See Page 28 & 29.
The partisans of Emir Ben Kalish Ezab who was the Emir of Wadesdah(Khemed), making their journey from Wadesdah to Jebel. This was after Ben Kalish Ezab was overthrown by Bab-El-Ehr.
Jebel(Hilly Region) seems to be Petra if you see the picture in Page 28 and 29.
I think, this is the same site, where Indiana Jones and the last Crusade's final scene was shot.
