The literal meaning of the word arab is "arrogant" or superior. Just like the Jews have their beliefs that they are the chosen ones, the similar view are held by the closest relatives that they are superior race.
In the olden days the Arabs were the ones who were exemplar in the day to day buisness there were master of their own language and other languages.
So in conclusion my understanding the mind sets and the culture the complexity comes to life.
No wonder the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) stressed so much on this issue in his last sermon :"that an arabs has no superiority over a non arab and vice versa, the only one may have over each other is based on how pious one is" .
