Winn, this is for you.
1)India has 3.2 million Km of Roads.
2)India is a poor country with a deficit budget.
3)India has a lot of rain and a poor sub base soil for roads.
1)Qatar has say lesser than (5 to 6) thousand Km of Road.
2)Qatar is a very rich country with surpus budget.
3)The soil/Rock subgrade is excellent, and roads once made lasts really long, and there is hardly any rain.
Still I find a lot of broken and bumpy roads in Qatar.
whereas in India you will find all kinds of Roads(some are even good and lot of them bad). But imagine what India spends on maintaining these roads to keep them running.
But you will still find some Indians grumbling about "roads in India", and worse they equate India with Qatar.
I hate the idea of equating such unequal entities, but you made me do it.
