@architect, Qatar's law states that a person shall be given citizenship (at their discretion of course), if the individual can benefit the country's economy.
(Like what China, Singapore, Germany, and Belgium do)
I agree with you, I think it's wrong to always mention the root (unless important) because it's what they consider themselves NOW or what their passports are.
Look at America, they're ALL naturalized (in the Olympics :P)
