Yes, I had an unbelievably bad experience with QP.
I'm sorry to say this but I believe you are very naive if you believe that QP are honest in their recruitment policy.
This may have been true in the past, but I, and at least six other people recruited into the same dept at the same time as myself, were recruited based on lies and misrepresentation of our contract terms.
Some examples:
Sample contract viewed and agreed at the interview stated a 5 day 40 hour working week. This was magically transformed to a 6 day 60 hour working week when the contract was presented for my signature in Al Saad office. I protested, but at this stage I have already committed myself (and my family) to a 3 year contract in Qatar. If I do not sign the contract, I have to pay for family air tickets out of there (tickets issued by QP were one way only) and undo, at no small cost to myself, all the arrangements I have made to store our furniture & personal belongings for the contract duration. So what do I do?
QP assured me that the housing allowance offered was sufficient to secure a good standard of accomodation in Doha. On arrival in Doha, I discovered that the housing allowance was 30% to 50% short of current market rates.
QP assured me that an interest free loan of 3X monthly salary was more than enough to purchase a 4X4 vehicle, (as required by my contract). In fact 5X monthly salary would have been a more realistic figure.
Now, the subject of QP's management arises. Never in my experience have I encountered such gross incompetence as was displayed by QP in this regard.
There were people in my dept who had very limited experience & technical knowledge, and absolutely no clue in basic contract administration. Yet these same people have managed to acheive senior positions within the dept.
Grades and contract terms are no longer an issue in QP, they will lie and mislead at every stage in order to recruit people.
Why? Because their reputation is such that they now have real difficulty in recruiting anyone, and they will do almost anything to con people into accepting nonsense contracts.
Once they recruit people they don't want to release them, even if their new recruits turn out to be useless. (are you aware of the 'Leaving Interview' procedure?!)
I accept that QP was a once a very good company to work for, but I'm afraid that those days are now well and truly gone.

Such a shame...
