something else to consider is the rising USD. if that does not change then prices here should fall too as Qatar brings in over half its imports from the EU.
i wouldn't expect rents to come down since that's a local bubble. in fact, we might see more expats willing to move here if work becomes scarce in their home countries, which could drive rents even higher. this assumes that the recession does not hit Qatar, which i don't think it will.
