I have been to heaps of poor places and been treated with the utmost respect and courtesy.
these experiences have been humbling and yes some of the poorest people have behaved like absolute gentlemen.
how people maintain their dignity in the face of such an adverse harsh daily existence is beyond me.
Incidents in countries like yemen, sudan, mozambique all spring to mind....
