Singleguy, not to sound insensitive but Mis-Cat might have a point...don't make the fact that you are single such a big deal just go out there and ask women out.
I would not recommend going to the clubs/pubs...surely your married friends' wives have single friends, maybe they can set you up on blind dates...if it doesn't work out at least you've expanded your network of female friends and this might lead you to someone.
Also join sports teams, play tennis or squash or golf.
