I agree with you about some of the careless people walking or even riding in areas they should not. Clearly this person was crossing at a light- perhaps it was late at night. It confuses me why those who work for the airport must pat their vehicles along that very busy road in the first place. Why is it not beneficial for a parking area to be built to ensure the safety of their employees and their vehicles. Those cars parked alongside the road are at risk everytime there is an accident involving moving vehicles. Hopefully this new airport will consider its employees when completing the design.

It just amazes me that in this country, life holds a value of 150,000. That alone shows how life is not considered important and it starts from the beginning. I am hopeful that when my contract is completed, I will be able to take myself onto the next phase of my life- AND IT NOT INVOLVE A CASKET THAT I ARRIVE IN!! I feel like I am playing Russian roulette every time I get behind the wheel. There is no such thing as driving defensively here. You have to have your eyes everywhere. That truly isn't enough either. For those of us who are here as guests of this country should atleast expect the same kind of care and concern we would offer Qataries when they visit our countries. For some, they may never leave this area and see how things could be better, safer. They accept this as their way of life, and that to me....is unacceptable.
