Why is it easy for you to blame the pedestrian? He was crossing the road to get to the other side. He was on foot and there is no possible explanation as to why the person behind the wheel of the vehicle did not slow down. People here in Doha- most of them LOCAL PEOPLE appear to feel that where ever it is they are going is so much more important than any other human. WELL, I have news for all you wreckless people- YOU ARE NOT THAT SPECIAL!! YOU NEVER WILL BE!!
This whole drivng situation infuriates me. I often see children allowed to wander freely in the vehicle. They are standing in between the front 2 seats waiting to be catapulted forward upon impact unknowingly. PARENTS here are so careless. There are infant/toddle carseat and seatbelt laws for reasons. It has been PROVEN to be a life saving mandatory safety feature and should ALWAYS be used. If you choose not to, you just don't value the lives of your children and others. Recently I saw a man driving his truck with an infant on his lap. May some power larger that these kinds of hopeless individuals be watching these young lives because those who are entrusted to care for them are UNQUALIFIED!
I pray for things here in Doha to change when it comes to rOAd safety and also child safety. You should be locked up and allowed to rot when you are responsible for the death of another EVEN IF IT IS YOUR OWN CHILD. Your vehicle did not kill the person--YOU DID!!
Please drive safely and take the time to put your children in a safer situation. Why not?
